The activity runs alongside our other programs, running for 10 months from early February to late November. We have 2 established groups:
First Steps
For the players with minimum or no exposure to the sport.
Advanced
For the players who are ready for the next challenge.
Providing the right challenge to each player according to his/her development stage.
With sessions lasting between 60 to 75 minutes (at coaches’ discretion).
New players can try the program for 2 sessions to see if they are comfortable with the activity and would like to continue.
The Program is run by the RFI professional Coaching Staff involved in the Development Program.
Training has been designed to support the development of all players and will focus on:
Helping players explore their motor skills and develop them via natural interactions with the environment through games and fun challenges.
Improving the children’s gross motor skills and general coordination, in line with their own growth and maturity.
Introducing players to the basics of the sport (basic rules and principles such as scoring goals, ball exiting the pitch, and 1v1 challenges).
Developing the key trainability skills and basic sporting discipline, including learning how to be a part of a team.
To provide cognitive development opportunities in regards to focus or attention management (capacity), creativity and self-exploration.
